New Calf

We had a calf born on Saturday morning while we were out of town. Star is the mother and it is a heffer. Unfortunately, I wasn’t expecting it for a few weeks and I therefore had not separated the cow from the other animals. When we got back from church Sunday afternoon I found the calf injured. Apparently one of the horses or cows had stepped on it. It is listless and walks with a limp. We have supplemented its food with a bottle a couple of times since it seems unable to stand long enough to nurse well.
